POOL PARTY – A 'CROWDED' SUCCESS

Wakeboard Rail Jam

Saturday, 3 March 2007

9/10 Central Avenue, South Nowra

The Josh Sanders' Pool Party kicked off on Saturday, 3rd March, with Rails, Rockin' Chicks and Red bull!

The official launch of the Josh Sanders' Aboveboard Shop and the NEW Supra Boats showroom commenced at 5.00pm with the likes of the APTW Champion, Dean Smith and Lake Conjola boy, Scotty Broome hitting the rail among a crowd of approximately 400. The team at Liquid Malisha brought their mobile pools and rails to show the people of the Shoalhaven, where the sport of wakeboarding is headed – and the crowd loved it!

In 2005, Nowra local, Josh Sanders took home every prestigious title in wakeboarding, including the King of Wake, US Pro Tour Champion and Australian Rider of the Year – making him No. 1 in the world. With those types of accolades behind him and running events like the Australian Open of Wakeboarding for 4 years in the Shoalhaven, it's no wonder he pulled off the Pool Party of the year.

The Josh Sanders' Pool Party proved successful, with spectators taking to the pools to cool off from the searing heat of the afternoon. Josh Sanders' Pool Party Gals strutted their stuff in bikinis, helping the riders with the rope for the event, and chilling out in the pool tubes!

Rail riders, Dean Smith, Scotty Broome, Dan Tolson,Rob Metcalf, Mike Van Poppel and 2007 Supra Grom Series Champion, Mitch Langfield hit the pool rails with ease! Tricks over the rail, like 180's, back lipping and even adding on the Red Bull Podium for an extra hurdle.

Spectators checked out the Josh Sanders' Aboveboard Shop and the New Supra Boats Showroom, and seemed excited to have somewhere to now buy their watersports gear from locally.

The presentation for the 2007 Supra Grom Series was held shortly after, with all competitors and spectators cheering for each others efforts.

Josh Sanders' stated "The pool party was a huge success. It was great to see the people of Nowra come out for some Saturday afternoon fun!"
